I have found the one my soul loves

We are blessed to welcome a new daughter-in-law into our family!

Activity. Emotions. Tension. Love. Frenzy.

It’s all brought together under God’s blessing of a bit of sunshine and a celebration that begins outside by the Spokane River, rumbling down the rocks, exposing its strength and murmurs its beauty.

Jeff with his best buds and two brothers connect before the ceremony, trying to look cool and ready for the big moment. As he walked me down the aisle, I began to lose control and tell him to talk to me and make jokes. He tells me he will seat me in the reserved seating, the coveted back row. I giggle. I am contained. My kleenex is intact.

Groomsmen

Little brothers (mmmm, maybe not so little) share a moment before the ceremony begins. Chris is stunned and Ryan tries to get a laugh from his brother. It is special he wants his brothers involved and part of this special day.

Brothers as groomsmen

Uncle Jeff sits with Grandma Sue and Grandpa Al, along with dad. We are thankful for safe travels from California and family making the effort to share in this joyous occasion.

Cutting the cake is part of the ceremony. It was a delicious selection of lemon and poppyseed. Sarah’s dad performed the ceremony and he was funny, thoughtful and endeared all the onlookers. Jeff and Sarah have supporting friends and family from both sides and much prayer will follow them.

Cake ceremony

Jeff and Sarah make their escape and bubbles fly. It is fun to say goodbye and enjoy their new marriage and be a part of their joy.

Leaving the wedding

Pronounced husband and wife, Jeff and Sarah walk down the aisle. Their joy is evident as their five month engagement comes to a close.

Jeff and Sarah's wedding

We are happy to be a part of Jeff and Sarah’s journey. We are thrilled to welcome Sarah into our family and can hardly wait to see where God leads these two.

Please join me in praying for them as they start a new life together and seek God in their direction and desire to please Him.

Your wedding was so God centered and lovely. It was a blessing to be there and it will be a privilege to pray for your success, Just remember, the first fifty years of marriage are the hardest, after that it’s a piece of cake. Lot’s of love to you both. Shirley Christie.

Thanks for you loving words Shirley. I will make sure to pass this on to the newlyweds. You were so pretty and beautiful that day, you almost outshone the bride! Love ya and treasure you! 🙂

I love how you asked him to tell you a joke. I remember another wedding long time ago, where I wore pink & you wore white & we were telling jokes. I’m still praying for you & will be praying for them. (when do I get to see pictures of you as mother of the groom?)

Erlinda, pictures will be out soon. I only posted some of the ones I took and it was pretty hard to take any of myself. When they are out there, I’ll be sure to post one. I was getting so emotional when he started to walk me down the aisle, I didn’t think I could contain my tears. 🙂 And he’s so good at making me feel at ease. Jokes is what we use as a family to lighten our mood and get through tough times. So when he said he would sit me in the reserved row, in the back, I had to laugh, and then it was easier. We feel blessed he has found the one his heart desires and that they both want to serve Him, makes it all very special. Love to you!! 🙂

Diane….enjoyed reading this post. Like what you said, “We are happy to be a part of Jeff and Sarah’s journey. We are thrilled to welcome Sarah into our family and can hardly wait to see where God leads these two.” Beautiful! It’s all about His plan and just love how you welcome Sarah!!!

Oh, was the Song of Solomon sign at their wedding? LOVE IT!

Yes, they had the Song of Solomon at their wedding. Something comical. The guy who did the prayer (who also has dreds like our son) came over to my mother-in-law, puts up his shirt and shows her his tattoo. It’s of the Song of Solomon verse. Very nice! We are very excited to be a part of their journey. They are both sweet and generous. Maybe I’ll blog about the day my son invited me to shop for an engagement ring. When you find the one, it makes all the difference, especially if it is Christ centered. Blessings! 🙂
